COVID-19 Safety Protocols

We are proud to announce that the Minister and staff of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance have been inoculated. 67% of the staff (11 persons) have been fully vaccinated, 25% (4 persons) have received their first doses and await their scheduled second doses, and 6% (1 person) has not been vaccinated for medical purposes. Our team has benefitted from all available vaccines (AstraZeneca, Sputnik-V and Sinopharm) and have experienced no serious or life threatening side effects. Although the unanimous decision was made to get vaccinated, the Ministry continues to adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health, and takes all necessary precautions to remain healthy and safe. We also urge the public to continue accessing the free vaccination services provided by the Government of Guyana, so that we can ultimately achieve herd immunity and start returning to the much desired levels of normalcy.
