Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA)
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affaira and Governance is hosting a Human Rights Based Approach training workshop with key stakeholders including members of the National Mechanism for Reporting and Follow-up, officers from Government Ministries and agencies, and representatives of key sectors including health, education, finance, agriculture, natural resources, housing and water, and others.
The HRBA training workshop is a core element of the Ministry’s mandate to develop state party reports consistent with the obligations under regional and international human rights treaties and conventions. The Ministry is also the secretariat of the NMRF, the National Mechanism which manages follow-up and monitors the implementation of recommendations regarding human rights.

Sectoral presentations on the implications and implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Migrant Workers and their Families. Participants of the workshop benefitted from presentations from representatives of the health, labour, education and human services/trafficing in persons sectors and units.
